Brick Advances to Cecil Cup
António Venet put the Brick Barracudas on his shoulders as they downed the Milwaukee Meerkats in the League Championship.

Brick won the deciding game by a 12-7 count at Old League Park and wrapped up the series 4-2.

Venet played a key role in the victory, as he was named series MVP for his offensive output, which included a .417 batting average with a .440 on-base percentage, 4 home runs, 10 RBI and 7 runs scored.

"I told myself it was time to step it up and help the team win and I'm glad I was able to do that," he said.

The Brick Barracudas will play against the Chicago Reapers in the next round. Chicago won their series against the Philadelphia Hornets 4 games to 0. The Cecil Cup schedule will be announced after the League Championship finishes.
