Season-Ending Injury for Velasco Sunday, July 13th, 2031 Obviously disappointed, Andrés Velasco confirmed today that his season is officially over. The Antelope Valley third baseman offered mostly monosyllabic responses to reporters. "Nope," he said, when asked if he might possibly return this year. The 37-year-old Velasco suffered a ruptured achilles tendon on 07/11/2031 and has been out of action since. During the current season Velasco is batting at a .279 clip with 16 home runs and 46 RBIs. He has played in 88 games and scored 32 times. |
