Antelope Valley Snaps Zumaya's Streak at 23
Tuesday, May 30th, 2034
The hitting streak that Mepkin Abbey center fielder António Zumaya had kept going for 23 games was ended today by the Antelope Valley Raptors. Zumaya was stymied over 3 at-bats today, but the rest of his team picked him up, taking the 8-4 victory at Old League Park.

"Hitting streaks come and go," Zumaya said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win."

For the season Zumaya is batting .358 with 38 hits and 10 home runs. He has scored 24 times and batted in 16.
