Russell had sought a second opinion about a torn labrum. But it only confirmed the earlier diagnosis that put his career in jeopardy. "It made my mind up for me," Russell said. The 25-year-old expressed his gratitude to the organization for their patience during this ordeal. He also thanked the fans for their continuing support.
