Nieto Awarded June's SDMB Top Bat Prize Saturday, July 1st, 2034 Ramón Nieto of the Brooklyn Wolves swung a mean bat for the last few weeks and was acclaimed the SDMB League Batter of the Month for June. The 28-year-old shortstop slapped out a .345 batting average, 8 home runs, 24 RBIs, 19 runs scored and a .388 on-base percentage. During the current season Nieto is batting at a .327 clip with 23 home runs and 72 RBIs. He has played in 79 games and scored 50 times. |
