Johnston Has Hot Hand, Bangs 6 hits
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Gerald Johnston today -- a 6-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Sentinels Ballpark and paced the Golden Knights to a 28-9 win over the Paradise HS Sentinels.

After his dynamite batting performance, the Des Moines HS first baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."

His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 6 hits in 8 tries and put his name in the record book. Gerald Johnston singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Albert Scott in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 7th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

Johnston has collected 41 hits for the Golden Knights this year, 8 of them home runs. He has also netted 27 RBIs and scored 25 runs while batting .519.
