Paradise HS Dodos third baseman Dave Carson had a day to remember at Dodos Ballpark today, ripping apart the Pittsburgh HS Bombers and sparking the Dodos to a 9-8 victory.

Carson wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5.

"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Carson told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."

Dave Carson singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

This year Carson is batting .430 with 68 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 42 times and has batted in 26 runs.
