Hurricanes Lose to Armadillos, 6-1
|
Houston pitcher Robinson García did his part in helping his team beat the Atlanta Hurricanes, 6-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. García went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-0. Getting the save was António Salinas, his 1st.
Darryl Fuller, who is tied for 10th in the SDMB in extra base hits with 8, aided the Houston cause with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the third baseman went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll savor this win," Fuller told the Houston Chronicle, "then get ready for the next game."
The Hurricanes fall to 6-12 and continue their wobbly start to the 2035 season.
