Extra-Inning Win by Barracudas over Reapers
|
The Brick Barracudas defeated the Chicago Reapers, 6-5, at Old League Park. Brick center fielder Elwood Kerr had a superb performance. He went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Brick reliever Shawn Sparks picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Wesley Dutton was saddled with the loss. The Reapers fall to 10-15 and continue their lackluster start to the 2036 season.
The Barracudas procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Logan Francis. In the bottom of the 12th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Francis.
