Multi-HR Day for Torres as Barracudas Overpower Reapers, 5-2
|
The Brick Barracudas dealt the Chicago Reapers a 5-2 loss at Old League Park. Juan Torres was the star on offense. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Joong-geun Yi got the win, improving to 4-0. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 3. The win gives Brick a record of 18-8.
Brick grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Torres, who is tied for 3rd in the SDMB in home runs with 8, hit a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season put the Barracudas out in front, 4-2.
"It feels good to get this one," Torres told the Brick Citizen.
