Atkins Goes on Rampage Against Rowdies
|
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Olympia's 9-2 win over Anchorage today, right fielder Aaron Atkins was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Field of the Boas.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Atkins said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Aaron Atkins singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run triple in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
In his 2031 season totals, Atkins has 3 home runs, .436 BA, .475 OBP, 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
