Long Lays Hammer Down in 2-1 Win
The Brooklyn Wolves and Houston Armadillos provided some drama at Old League Park.

Houston used a superb performance from starting pitcher Dane Long to down the Brooklyn Wolves, 2-1. With the win, Houston raised its record to 17-17.

Long, who dominated for Houston, earned the victory to move to 5-1. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 11. Brooklyn batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Long said.
