The Antelope Valley Raptors defeated the Appalachian Black Bears, 6-3, in SDMB League action at Old League Park. Félix Salgado pulled his weight. The 9-year veteran went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Russ Singleton got the win, improving to 5-0. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 1 run on 4 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 3. Adrián Gutiérrez earned the save, his 1st, for the Raptors.

In the top of the third of a scoreless game, Salgado hit a 3-run home run to put his team ahead.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Salgado.

The win puts Antelope Valley at 18-18 this season.
