Hurricanes Continue Skid Thanks to Nieto, Wolves
|
Benefiting from Ramón Nieto's productive game, the Brooklyn Wolves downed the Atlanta Hurricanes, 6-2. Nieto went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Wolves. The current losing streak for Atlanta has reached 4 games.
Nieto had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-0 sinker from Patrick Beene, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Wolves a 6-2 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for Nieto.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Brooklyn manager Zev Steinhardt. "Our pregame was pretty good."
