Wolves Lose to Barracudas, 7-2
|
The Brick Barracudas picked up a win at Old League Park, knocking off the Brooklyn Wolves, 7-2. On the mound for Brick was right-hander Ernest Metcalf, who played a pivotal role in the win. Brick is now 21-24, Brooklyn 18-28.
The Barracudas got a big at-bat from catcher Steve Lee. For the game, Lee was 2-4 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 35th hit of the season gave Brick a 3-2 lead.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Lee.
