The Antelope Valley Raptors got a sterling performance from pitcher Russ Singleton, but the Barracudas still prevailed, 5-4. Singleton was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. The win was credited to Carlos Placeres in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Jeffrey Metcalf took the loss. The Barracudas bumped their record to 28-27 with this latest triumph.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Brick trailing 4-3, Juan Torres hit a curveball from Jeffrey Metcalf to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Barracudas had a walk-off win.

In postgame comments to the Brick Observer, Torres said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
