Yi Dazzles in Brick Win
The Brick Barracudas got a strong performance from pitcher Joong-geun Yi, who stymied the Appalachian offense en route to a 2-0 win at Old League Park. Carlos Placeres converted his 10th save in 10 tries. The second-place Barracudas now have a 4-game winning streak.

Yi, who dominated for Brick, earned the victory to move to 5-2. He was in control the whole game, scattering 4 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 8. Appalachian batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

In postgame comments to the Brick Observer, Yi said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
