Suárez Lifts Barracudas to 8-2 Triumph
The Brick Barracudas defeated the Philadelphia Hornets, 8-2, at Old League Park today. Leading the charge for Brick was second baseman Sergio Suárez. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Javier Cruz came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 7 innings. His record now stands at 7-5. Brick goes to 60-40. The win puts them 16˝ games up in their division.

The Barracudas grabbed the lead in the bottom of the first. With one out, Tomás Fernández hit a 2-run home run off Michael Leach, putting Brick in front, 3-0. For Fernández, it was his 19th home run of the season.
