Reapers Lose to Armadillos, 6-2
|
Houston Armadillos starter Jesús Flores pitched a strong game against the Chicago Reapers at Old League Park, leading the Armadillos to victory, 6-2. Héctor Sánchez converted his 2nd save in 6 tries. With the win over Chicago, the Armadillos improved to 47-67.
In the bottom of the fourth, Houston second baseman Mauro Sánchez had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Sánchez stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 2-0, Houston. For the game, he was 2 for 3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Sánchez told the Houston Bulletin.
