Brick left fielder Tomás Fernández played a vital role in his team's 7-6 triumph over Appalachian. He was 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for Brick. With the win, the Barracudas have a record of 83-59.

In the bottom of the third, Luis Rosales hit a 3-run home run. The 27th home run of the season for the Brick first baseman put the Barracudas on top, 6-4.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Brick manager Fred Goldfarb.
