SDMB Selects Rookie Star of the Month Friday, October 1st, 2032 Víctor Gonzáles's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Appalachian right fielder has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In September he was voted the Rookie of the Month Award. During the month he hit .343 with 6 doubles, 1 triple and 4 home runs. Gonzáles also scored 14 times and drove in 12 runs. So far this season Gonzáles is batting .253 with 15 home runs, 64 RBIs and 77 runs scored. He has 141 hits in 557 at-bats, 66 walks and a .332 OBP. Gonzáles has played in 157 games. |
