 | It's Over! Appalachian Defeats Philadelphia Sunday, October 15th, 2034 It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For the victorious Appalachian Black Bears, that meant the SDMB League Cecil Cup trophy. The Black Bears took a 4-0 victory over the Philadelphia Hornets at Old League Park, winning their 1st championship after taking the series 4-2. "We've got grit," said Black Bears catcher Guillermo Medina, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to."
