Brick and Wilmington met at Old League Park in front of a lively crowd.

The Brick Barracudas topped the Wilmington Atlantics, 5-1, in SDMB League action at Old League Park. The player of the game was Brick pitcher Joong-geun Yi. Getting the save was Juan García, his 1st.

Yi, the winner, is now 2-1 after putting the clamps on the Wilmington offense. In 8 innings of work, he gave up 1 earned run on 3 hits, while collecting 5 Ks.

"Joong-geun is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Brick manager Fred Goldfarb.

The win brings the Barracudas to 10-7, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
