Fernández Helps Barracudas Run Win Streak to 8
|
The Brick Barracudas bested the Chicago Reapers by a score of 7-1, with left fielder Tomás Fernández getting the main credit. On the day, Fernández went 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Barracudas. Paul Gilbert got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed no runs on 6 hits in 8 innings. The loss puts Chicago at 10-17.
Luis Rosales hit a run-scoring double off José Rodríguez in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Barracudas in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Rosales had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
