Armadillos Prevail, 7-6, Over Wilmington

Fans at Old League Park were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Houston Armadillos take on the Wilmington Atlantics.
The Houston Armadillos beat the Wilmington Atlantics, 7-6, at Old League Park. Benjamin Anderson, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Houston reliever Sugita Kimura picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. José Morales shouldered the loss.
Dewey Wilson hit a run-scoring double off José Morales in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Armadillos in front, 7-6. In addition to the double, Wilson had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Wilson, "but we got it done."
The defeat makes Wilmington 16-9.
