Crawdaddy's Lose to Hurricanes, 4-1
|
Atlanta picked up a win at Old League Park, bumping off the New Orleans Crawdaddy's, 4-1. Pitcher Lyndon Nix was a major reason the Hurricanes emerged victorious. The victory gives Atlanta a record of 32-15.
The Hurricanes got a big hit from right fielder José Molina. In the bottom of the fifth, Molina pounded a run-scoring double to right-center. His 4th double of the season put the Hurricanes ahead, 2-0.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said New Orleans manager Andy Rosenau.
