The Brick Barracudas bested the Toronto Beavers, 8-4, at Old League Park. Steve Lee was one of the standouts. He went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Brick pitcher Shawn Rush got the win, upping his record to 4-3. Josh Robertson got the loss. Shawn Sparks, credited with the save, is now 3 for 5 in save opportunities.

The Barracudas got a big hit from left fielder Tomás Fernández. In the bottom of the sixth, Fernández pounded a 3-run home run to right. His 12th home run of the season put the Barracudas ahead, 7-2.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Fernández.

The Barracudas have an impressive 40-24 record.
