Old League Park was the site of a competitive game between the Chicago Reapers and Toronto Beavers.

The Toronto Beavers picked up a win at Old League Park, knocking off the Chicago Reapers, 5-3. Starting pitcher Josh Robertson was a big reason why. Mark Cox converted his 3rd save in 3 tries.

Jesús Valdéz had a big 2-run home run for the Beavers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Toronto leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Gabriel Allison and swatted a home run to right. It was his 10th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Beavers ahead, 5-2.

"I know we have our doubters," said Chicago manager Luke Farthing. "But I still have high hopes for this team."

The Beavers sport a record of 27-58.
