Barracudas Win to Extend Series Lead to 2-0
The Brick Barracudas faced a challenging opponent in Philadelphia Hornets right-hander Michael Leach, but did just enough to squeak out a 3-2 win in Game 2 of the League Championship today. Brick now leads 2-0 in the best-of-7 series. The Barracudas won despite the Hornets getting an excellent start from starter Leach, who allowed 3 earned runs at scattered 5 hits over 9 innings.

Brick grabbed control in the top of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Júlio Quintana delivered a run-scoring double, to make it 3-2 in favor of the Barracudas.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Philadelphia manager Michael Weintraub.

The next game is set to be played Sunday at Old League Park. The scheduled starters for the game are Tian-bai Chen for Philadelphia and Paul Gilbert for Brick.
