Barracudas Clip Reapers 2-1 in CC Contest
The bats were silent for much of the day at Old League Park today. But Brick left fielder Tomás Fernández conjured up just enough offense to carry the Barracudas past the Chicago Reapers, 2-1. In a game dominated by the pitching staffs, Fernández was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once to earn player of the game honors. The win brought Brick into a 2-2 tie with Chicago in the best-of-7 series.

Fernández's nice game included a clutch 2-run home run in the top of the first.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Luke Farthing.

Game 5 is set to be played tomorrow at Old League Park in Chicago. The scheduled starters for the game are Rodrigo Padilla for the Brick Barracudas and Toyoshige Takahashi for the the Chicago Reapers.
