Pace goes 3-for-5, Leads Crawdaddy's to Win
|
New Orleans took on Antelope Valley in front of a lively crowd.
No one was more impactful than Chris Pace in the 12-6 New Orleans win over Antelope Valley. Pace, who is a three-time Slick Fielder Award winner, was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. Stanley Wolf was the winning pitcher. Over 8 innings, he allowed 6 runs on 7 hits, with 4 walks and 6 strikeouts.
It could have been a different outcome for New Orleans, had it not been for Jesús Torres, the 27-year old third baseman . Torres contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put New Orleans up, 3-0.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Crawdaddy's manager Andy Rosenau. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
The Crawdaddy's saw their record improve to 58-62.
