The Wilmington Atlantics got a sterling performance from pitcher José Rivera, but the Chicago Reapers still prevailed, 4-1. Rivera threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball. Reliever Joe Younger picked up the win. His record improves to 3-1. José Rivera took the loss. The Reapers go to 60-70, putting them last in the SDMB League Zotti Division.

Lawrence Connolly drove in one run for Chicago. The top prospect had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off José Rivera. It was his 20th RBI of the season.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Connolly said.
