Meerkats Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Antelope Valley
|
Milwaukee and Antelope Valley duked it out at Old League Park and the Meerkats came out victorious.
The Milwaukee Meerkats grabbed a 6-3 win over the Antelope Valley Raptors at Old League Park. Milwaukee third baseman Sung-heun Hwa was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once to earn player of the game honors. Pat Carmichael notched his 34th save in 36 chances.
The Meerkats had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the eighth. The score was 6-3, Milwaukee, with one out. Antelope Valley, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Lloyd Rideout dug in at the plate, but on a 0-2 fastball, he hit into a double play.
The first-place Meerkats, at 90-43, now lead their division by 22½ games.
