Barracudas Lose to Crawdaddy's, 5-4
|
The New Orleans Crawdaddy's faced a tough opponent in Brick pitcher Rodrigo Padilla, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Old League Park by a final score of 5-4. Padilla went 7 innings and allowed 5 earned runs. José Montáñez converted his 33rd save in 37 tries. New Orleans has now won 3 in a row.
The Crawdaddy's got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ken Reed. For the game, Reed was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave New Orleans a 3-2 lead.
