The Wilmington Atlantics topped the Brick Barracudas, 3-1, in SDMB League action at Old League Park. The standout performance belonged to Wilmington pitcher and Higüey, Dominican Republic, native José Rivera. Wilmington now has a record of 85-52 with the win.

Wilmington took a 3-1 lead on Fred Kennedy's 13th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Brick pitcher Shawn Sparks in the top of the ninth.

"The vibe's good," said Wilmington manager Thomas Kerner. "We've got to keep it going."
