The Toronto Beavers got a good effort from starter Josh Robertson in defeating the Houston Armadillos at Old League Park. The final score was 3-2. Robertson got the win, improving to 7-13. He allowed 3 hits and walked 5 over 6.2 innings. Robertson allowed 2 runs. Mark Cox got the save, his 6th in 9 chances.

Toronto shortstop Brody Fields contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball into left-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 87th hit of the season and put the Beavers ahead, 3-1.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Fields. "And not try to do too much."

The Beavers raised their record to 46-95.
