Raptors Bang Out 6-4 Win Versus Toronto
The Antelope Valley Raptors weathered a fine game by Toronto second baseman Mark Cannon to upend the Beavers, 6-4, at Old League Park. Cannon was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Antelope Valley pitcher Guillermo Romero got the win. He's now 1-1. Francisco Flores was tagged with the loss. Jeffrey Metcalf finished the game for Antelope Valley and earned his 3rd save.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Miguel Cantú? The Antelope Valley left fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Raptors on top, 3-0. For the game, Cantú had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Cantú. "And not try to do too much."

The Beavers fall to 5-8 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2036 season.
