Powell Struts Stuff in Win Over Houston Friday, May 4th, 2035 Magic was in the air and on the mound at Old League Park today as Brian Powell held the Houston Armadillos spellbound in his 6-0 shutout victory. The Milwaukee Meerkats pitcher went the distance, rang up 7 strikeouts, walked 1 and held the Armadillos to 7 hits to garner the win. "He just had us in his thrall," Houston manager Willard Taylor said later. "We couldn't put anything together against him." In 6 starts this season Powell has recorded a 3-2 record and a 3.12 ERA.
