Rose Guns Down Mepkin Abbey Wednesday, June 6th, 2035 In an outstanding outing, Brooklyn Wolves starter Kieran Rose tamed the Mepkin Abbey Monks with a 5-hit shutout at Old League Park today. The Brooklyn hurler went the distance, finishing with 8 strikeouts and no walks in the 9-0 win. "He had a lot of first-pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to Mepkin Abbey manager Joshua Doss. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today."
