 | Thursday, September 10th, 2020: Hit Parade: Bañuelos Pops 5 Hits 5 hits in 6 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Ángel Bañuelos of the Maui Mashers had a sensational 5-6 game against Monck's Corner at Old League Park. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 15-3 shellacking of the Monks. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off... Right, skipper?" Á. Bañuelos tripled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off G. Kos in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off J. Fullen in the 9th. This season Bañuelos has hit at a .438 clip with 10 RBIs, 4 home runs and 20 runs scored. He has played in 24 games. |
