SDMB League 10-10-2020 Home | | Breaking News | | Friday, October 9th, 2020: Mashers Triumph in 2020 Cecil Cup It was a storybook year for the Maui Mashers as they closed out a 4-3 series win over the Seattle Monarchs to claim the 2020 Cecil Cup. They wrapped it up with a 5-1 victory to cap an incredible season and brought home their 2nd championship.
The Mashers manager gave his view of the series, "We had a lot of things going for us, offense and defense doing it at the right time. That's what it takes to win a Cecil Cup."
"We're disappointed we lost, but we're also very proud of what we did all year," said the Monarchs manager. "They played better baseball than us and they beat us."
