In the latest churning of the rumor mill, reports indicate that 37-year-old right fielder Richard Bilbrey of the New York Gothams could be on the trading block. While the player refused to comment, the team did not outright deny the claims. "If it'll help this team, we'll make a move," said one team official.

 | Saturday, September 19th, 2020: Gossard Goes 5-8 Against New York
It was a good day for the Steamers at Old League Park as they clipped the New York Gothams 8-7. It was tremendous day for Herman Gossard, who went on quite a hitting spree with a 5 for 8 barrage.
The Cleveland catcher told reporters after his big 5-hit performance, "I don't have any buzz words. I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' as they say. As far as the hitting goes, I try to keep it simple. I try not to look into it too much. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then try to hit it. Today I picked up the spin very well."
H. Gossard singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, singled in the 9th, flied out in the 10th, singled in the 13th and hit a solo-shot off O. Avendaño in the 15th.
Gossard is hitting .259 this season with 8 home runs, 64 RBIs and 63 runs scored. He has 127 hits in 491 at-bats.

Larry McCormick earned August's Rookie of the Month honors in the SDMB League for last month's performance. The boyish New York third baseman might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level.
McCormick hit .339 with 7 home runs, 18 RBIs and 26 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award.
This season McCormick is batting .331 with 175 hits and 23 home runs. He has scored 108 times and has 79 RBI.
