Stan Lowery of the Tisdale Prarie Sox really strutted his stuff on the mound today with a 6-0 victory. He was almost untouchable, bewildering the Nyack Rocklands with a 4-hit shutout in which he struck out 8 and gave up 2 walks.
In pitching stats this season Lowery has rung up 16 wins and 6 losses in 25 games. He has an ERA of 2.28 and has fanned 188 batters in 197.2 innings.

| Monday, August 3rd, 2020: SL1 Presents Player of the Week Trophy
Jorge Moya burst onto the Sub League 1 stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie left fielder for Nyack garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy.
The 21-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .480 (12-25) with 3 home runs and 6 RBIs last week.
This year Moya is batting .291 with 14 home runs and 45 RBIs.

| Saturday, August 1st, 2020: Franco Pitches Rocklands to Shutout Win
Everything clicked on the hill today for César Franco of the Nyack Rocklands as he hurled his club to a 6-0 shutout win over the Brighton Beach Yippers, limiting them to 5 hits while recording 5 strikeouts and yielding 1 walk. He overpowered some batters with his fastball and buckled knees with his sharp breaking pitches.
"We had our shot at him a couple of different times," the Yippers manager said, "but we weren't able to get to him."
To date in 2020, Franco has registered 24 starts, 13-7 won-lost mark, 3.48 ERA, 183.2 IP, 112 strikeouts and 62 walks. Opposing teams have hit .261 against him.
