| Breaking News | | Friday, August 21st, 2020: Kent Beats Avon in Round 1
The Kent Kings ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Avon Gold Sox 8-2 to win the Round 1.
Kent won the series 4-3, capturing the title for the 3rd time.
"We stepped it up at the right time... now we're the champs... it's a great feeling," the victorious manager exclaimed to the press.
The champs finished the regular season 74-47 and claimed first place in the Sub League 1.
In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, the Kings owner proudly stated, "I am so happy for our city. Our great fans deserve this."

| Sunday, August 2nd, 2020: Kent Loses Salinas, Will Miss Season
The news is bad in Kent. The Kings have lost the services of left fielder Manny Salinas for the rest of the season due to a torn abdominal muscle. Salinas was injured in a recent game with the Marietta Mammoths while running the bases and is expected to miss 8 months.
So far this season Salinas has gotten 92 hits in 378 at-bats for a .243 batting average with 10 home runs. His stats include 57 RBIs and 41 runs scored. He has played in 109 games.

Stan Lowery made quick work of Kent, blanking the Kings 5-0 at Royals Ballpark today. The Tisdale pitcher limited them to 1 hit to earn the victory. Lowery fanned 9 and walked 2.
In 19 starts this season, Lowery has picked up 12 wins while suffering 4 losses. He has pitched 149.1 innings, allowed 115 hits, struck out 145 and posted a 2.41 ERA.
