The Kent Kings ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Avon Gold Sox 8-2 to win the Round 1.
Kent won the series 4-3, capturing the title for the 3rd time.
"We stepped it up at the right time... now we're the champs... it's a great feeling," the victorious manager exclaimed to the press.
The champs finished the regular season 74-47 and claimed first place in the Sub League 1.
In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, the Kings owner proudly stated, "I am so happy for our city. Our great fans deserve this."

| Monday, August 10th, 2020: Inoue Twirls Gold Sox to Shutout Victory
The Tossed Salads tried, but could not solve Avon's Kiyoshi Inoue, falling to the Gold Sox 10-0. Tennessee managed only 6 hits off Inoue, who kept opposing hitters guessing all day. In a strong route-going performance he had 2 strikeouts and walked 0.
This season Inoue has a 1-2 record with a 3.72 ERA.

 | Friday, July 31st, 2020: Caprica Whitewashes Avon, Mobley Winner
In an outstanding outing, Bill Mobley tamed Avon on a 2-hit shutout. The Caprica hurler went the distance, finishing with 8 strikeouts and 1 walk in the 1-0 win.
"He had a lot of first pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to the Avon manager. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today."
So far this year Mobley has compiled a 1-10 record with a 4.37 ERA.
