Everything clicked on the hill today for John Okane of the Hickory Huskers as he hurled his club to a 4-0 shutout win over the Cleveland Steamers, limiting them to 5 hits while recording 2 strikeouts and yielding 1 walk. He overpowered some batters with his fastball and buckled knees with his sharp breaking pitches.
"We had our shot at him a couple of different times," the Steamers manager said, "but we weren't able to get to him."
Thus far this season, Okane has worked 209.1 innings with 123 strikeouts en route to a 12-12 record and a 4.34 ERA.

 | Saturday, September 12th, 2020: Hunnicutt Twirls Shutout
At Old League Park today Hickory blitzed the Brooklyn Wolves 4-0 on a route-going gem by Donald Hunnicutt. He blanked them on a 4-hitter and had 5 strikeouts in the contest.
This season to date, Hunnicutt has fashioned a 10-15 mark and 4.85 ERA in 202.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .263 against him and he has logged 212 strikeouts.

 | Friday, September 4th, 2020: Zero Hour: Brasfield Blanks Huskers
Thomas Brasfield dominated the day, pitching shutout ball against the Huskers and holding them to 2 hits. He fanned 5 and walked 3 in spinning his 4-0 win.
"I can't take all the credit for this one," Brasfield said. "I had some great defense behind me."
So far this season Brasfield has 9 wins and 15 losses and a 4.38 ERA.
