Sharon Beauties third baseman Butch Patton walked away with the Sub League 2 Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days.
"The Beauties fans are really behind me right now," said the 19-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better."
Patton batted .478 (11-23) with 1 home run and 6 RBIs this week on his way to the award.
Hitting .244 to date, Patton has 8 home runs and 41 RBIs. He has played in 119 games.

| Friday, July 3rd, 2020: Beauties Floyd Stops Tossed Salads
Charlie Floyd of the Sharon Beauties fashioned a fine 2-0 victory over the Tennessee Tossed Salads. He held them to 5 hits with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts in a strong outing.
So far this season Floyd has a 4-5 record with a 3.19 ERA.

Rifles pitcher Mark Tyler did his job today, blanking the Sharon Beauties at Hooligans Ballpark. He scattered 5 hits while striking out 9 in the 1-0 shutout.
This season Tyler has worked 132.2 innings with 114 strikeouts en route to a 8-5 record and a 2.44 ERA.
