| Breaking News | | Monday, August 17th, 2020: SL2 Announces Player of the Week
24-year-old Francisco González sent shock waves through SDMB Triple A last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Sub League 2 Player of the Week Award.
A newcomer to the league, González made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .500 average, 8 hits in 16 at-bats, 2 home runs and 8 RBI.
Where the Jersey City Skeeters catcher goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but González certainly made his mark last week.
Thus far in 2020 González is batting .304 with 4 home runs, 15 RBIs and 14 runs scored.

 | Wednesday, August 12th, 2020: DeBois County Shut out by Olivarez
Bartolo Olivarez really wowed everybody at the ballpark with his 5-0 shutout victory over DeBois County today. The Jersey City pitcher mystified the Bombers in a strong performance. He gave up 4 hits and totaled 4 walks and 16 strikeouts.
His manager said, "Bartolo had them chasing a lot of pitches and talking to themselves. It was something special to watch."
This season Olivarez has worked 174 innings with 194 strikeouts en route to a 11-8 record and a 3.52 ERA.

 | Friday, July 24th, 2020: Kensington Blanks Skeeters, Savage Wins
Steven Savage was in charge the whole game in the Wolfpack victory over the Skeeters today. In a superb performance he blanked Jersey City 8-0, yielding 6 hits while registering 6 strikeouts and 2 walks.
In 23 starts this year Savage has fashioned a 9-9 record and a 3.82 ERA.
