Thursday, May 21st, 2020: Kensington Stops Carmona's Hit Streak
The Mississagua Free Agents won the game 5-0 over the Kensington Wolfpack. At the same time the Wolfpack mound corps did what no other team could do. They stopped the 21-game hitting streak of Free Agents center fielder Bruno Carmona. But that was still not enough to win the game.

"Our pitchers may have focused a bit too much on stopping Carmona," the Kensington manager commented afterward. "He had a nice hitting streak going, but the Free Agents have other hitters and they did their job today."

In 2020 Carmona has put up a .345 batting average with 50 hits, 4 home runs and 24 RBIs.
Thursday, May 21st, 2020: Free Agents Earp Blanks Wolfpack
In a sharp 3-hit performance, Jermaine Earp tossed the Mississagua Free Agents to a 5-0 shutout victory over the Kensington Wolfpack, fanning 5 and walking 3.

"That's as good a stuff as I've seen in a long time," the Kensington manager said in his postgame interview.

This year Earp has a 3-0 mark in 5 starts with a 1.94 ERA. He has given up 37 hits in 41.2 innings, struck out 31 and issued 13 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .253 batting average against him.
Sunday, May 17th, 2020: Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Carmona
Bruno Carmona's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Mississagua center fielder smacked 2 hits against Beulaville in today's game at Ballpark of Thorndale to extend it, but he has mixed emotions about it.

After losing to the Beulaville Miners, Carmona told reporters, "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose."

B. Carmona grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

Carmona is currently batting .355 with 3 home runs and 20 RBIs.
