| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, May 26th, 2020: Beatty Strokes 5 Hits
The Sky Warriors were defeated 9-7 today at Sky Warriors Ballpark by the Highlanders, but you can't say Van Beatty didn't give it his best try. The Sky Warriors third baseman came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Beatty and a tough day for Louisville College.
"I just go up there and swing away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan."
No plan or not, Beatty delivered today... 5-5 is outstanding in any league.
V. Beatty hit a three-run home run off M. Archuleta in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This season Beatty is swinging the bat at a .313 pace. He has hit 3 home runs and scored 32 times, while driving in 29. His on-base percentage is .372 and he has played in 49 games.

| Wednesday, May 13th, 2020: Archuleta Fashions Shutout Against Wildwood Lake College
Miguel Archuleta of the Raleigh College Highlanders was one tough customer on the hill today. He blanked the Wildwood Lake College Colonials 6-0 on 2 hits, registering 9 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"When he's on, he's tough to hit," said the Wildwood Lake College manager after the game. "He's just a bulldog out there."
Archuleta has made 9 starts, tossed 63.1 innings, struck out 63 batters and walked 20. His record is 3-3 with a 3.84 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .218 batting average.

| Friday, May 1st, 2020: Kennedy Takes Best Bat Trophy in April
Fred Kennedy picked up the top batter prize in the SDMB College for April.
The Raleigh College catcher hit .389 with 11 home runs, 35 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He also drew 12 walks to post an OBP of .459.
